The Council of Electro Homeopathy Medicos (CEHM) is a registered educational society functioning as a legitimate and independent body dedicated to the development, promotion, and research of Electro Homeopathy — a natural & scientific system of medicine founded by Dr.Count Cesare Mattei in the 19th century. of Electro Homeopathy. While no specific Central or Telangana State legislation has yet been enacted for this system, the education and practice of Electro Homeopathy continue without prohibition across India, within the boundaries of existing legal rights. The legal and constitutional standing of Electro Homeopathy in India is supported by several official judgments and government documents.
Supreme Court Approved Practice The Hon’ble Supreme Court (SLP No. 23572/2009) confirmed: “There is no ban on practicing Electro Homeopathy in India.”
Government Acknowledgment The Health Ministry (2011) Electro Homeopathy as a lawful natural medicine system and urged States to support its growth.
On 9 March 2018, the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly passed the “Rajasthan Electropathy System of Medicine Bill, 2018” (Bill No. 13 of 2018). This made Rajasthan the first Indian state to officially recognize the Electropathy System of Medicine under law — a milestone step toward formalizing Electro Homeopathy Is a medical stream in the country.
The Telangana Electropathy Practitioners Association (T.E.P.A) has formally submitted a representation to the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, Government of Telangana, seeking recognition of Electro Homeopathy education and practice within the state. The matter remains under review, and as of today, there is no prohibition or restriction from any government authority on the operation of Electro Homeopathy institutions or practitioners in Telangana.
● The practice and education of Electro Homeopathy are lawful and protected under
the Constitution of India (Article 19(1)(g)).
● There is no Act or order from the Central or State Government that prohibits Electro
Homeopathy practice or training.
● CEHM and similar institutions operate independently and ethically, in compliance with
judicial and administrative directives.
● Until a specific legislation is enacted, Electro Homeopathy remains outside the
jurisdiction of Central or State Medical Councils, allowing it to function as a separate
system of natural medicine.
Systems like Ayurveda, Unani, and Electro Homeopathy were practiced freely in India for decades before receiving statutory recognition through dedicated legislation. For example, the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Act, 1970, was enacted 24 years after India’s Independence, granting official status to traditional medicine systems that had already been practiced for generations. Similarly, Electro Homeopathy continues to be lawful and freely practiced under constitutional rights until a dedicated Act is introduced by the Parliament or State Legislature.
● The education and clinical practice of Electro Homeopathy are currently lawful and
valid in Telangana.
● There is no restriction or prohibition by any department of the Telangana State
Government.
● The Telangana Clinical Establishment Act does not apply to Electro Homeopathy
practitioners since the system has not yet been formally categorized under it.
● CEHM continues to function transparently within legal and ethical frameworks, ensuring
that training and treatment adhere to public safety and scientific responsibility.
